SIMPLY CYCLE
Here to help

Keep rolling.

A few answers to get you back on your bike.

How do I record a ride?

Open Simply Cycle, allow location access, and tap Start Ride. Swipe between your speed, live map, and ride statistics. Tap Pause to take a break, then Resume when you are ready. Tap Finish and confirm Save Ride to add it to your history.

Why is my location or speed missing?

On your iPhone, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Simply Cycle. Enable location access and Precise Location. GPS works best outdoors with a clear view of the sky. Allow a moment for an accurate signal before starting.

Will recording continue with the screen locked?

During an active ride, Simply Cycle uses background location to continue recording when the screen is locked. Keep location permission enabled. Recording a route uses GPS and can increase battery use.

How does automatic pause work?

With Automatic Pause enabled, the app pauses after about five seconds of being stationary and resumes when it detects movement. You can turn it off in the app’s Settings → Tracking.

How do I change units or map direction?

Open Settings using the gear icon. Choose MPH or KM/H in Display. Under Map, enable North Up to keep north at the top; otherwise, the map follows your direction of travel.

How do I export a ride?

Open Ride History using the history icon, select a finished ride, and tap the share icon to export its route as a GPX file. Choose where to save it or which app to share it with. A ride needs recorded route points to export.

How do I unlock the ride controls?

If you used the lock button during a ride, hold Hold to Unlock for one and a half seconds to restore the controls.

Where are my rides stored?

Your ride history is stored on your iPhone. Simply Cycle does not provide an account or its own cloud sync. Export any routes you want to keep elsewhere before removing the app. Device backups are managed through your Apple settings.
